Running/Walking Routes

Our neighborhood is very pedestrian friendly - check out some of our favorite running routes!

Jetty Park

Head toward the beach and turn left (North) on Ridgewood. Continue until E. Central. Turn  left (West) on E. Central. Watch for Peacocks! Turn right (North) on North Atlantic Ave. Continue on this until you reach George King Blvd. Turn right (East) and pass the Holiday Inn toward the Jetty Park Campground. You will run through a ticket gate - it is only for vehicles. Continue on the trail, taking note of the feral cat station. At about 2.75 miles, you will reach public bathrooms and parking for Jetty Park. You can turn around and return home the same route, or use one of the beach access crossovers to explore the jetty and return home via the beach. If you aren't using a smart watch with a return to home feature, you will know you are getting close to our road when you see the lifeguard stand for Cherie Down Park. Total route is about 5.5 miles.

Cape Marina

If you need more miles, you can take Ridgewood to E. Central to North Atlantic, but when you hit George King Blvd. turn left instead. This will take you to Cape Marina. You can run past the observation tower and the docks and restaurants at Port Canaveral. There are public bathrooms at 990 Mullet Road on this route. It is 3.2 miles from the cottage to the Mullet Road bathrooms.

South

Ridgewood is a great running/walking route South as well. It is 1.6 miles from the cottage to the Cocoa Beach Pier.

Group Runs

Carib Brewery hosts group runs on Mondays - check out their Facebook page for more info!
