Cape Canaveral is way more than the beach. Book a fishing expedition from Port Canaveral, kayak with dolphins and manatees on an inland river, or try your hand at surfing. Explore north to historic St. Augustine, or watch a Spring Training game in Jupiter - there's so much to do along the coast!
Space Coast
Our neighborhood is full of space enthusiasts, and you can see several launchpads from the Madison Avenue beach. Check the launch schedules to see if there are specific launch events scheduled:

A visit to Kennedy Space Center can easily be done in a day. Make sure you make a reservation to visit the Apollo/Saturn V Center - it is included with your visit but you need to book your shuttle to this ancillary portion of the park.
If you visit Port Canaveral, you can also see the SpaceX dock and catch a glimpse of some of their equipment.

Wildlife
You can see manatees at several inland parks and waterways, and dolphins are frequently found in the Indian and Banana Rivers, along with the Atlantic coast. You can also visit the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge to experience wildlife firsthand.
